IO R.Laporta includes the Kindergarten, the Primary School and the VET School for Agriculture, which is located in Fabro (Terni).
The total number of our pupils is around 680, with about 17.2 % of our pupils from abroad. Our students’ parents are employed in the tertiary sector, in the construction industry and in agriculture. The relevance of agriculture reflects a rural culture that the School wants to re-discover and enhance through the educational activities.
Our Mission is identified with the motto “non scholae sed vitae discimus” (Latin for “Not for school, but for life we learn”), pointing out our commitment to support personal and professional development based on three issues:
- Inclusive education;
- Digital literacy;
- Sustainability.

The EFAs were created in 1967 in Andalusia as a local development initiative for the daughters and sons of farmers, with vocational training, according to the French model of the Maisons Familiales Rurales (MFR). They promote training among young people that allows them to develop and improve the living and working conditions that surround them. The EFA “El Soto” began its classes on November 19, 1973 in Chauchina (Granada), on the initiative of families and professionals from the rural world. The EFA was born as an association of families from the rural environment, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of this environment.
With a training offer and a number of students that has not stopped growing. The studies range from the basic level in vocational training, through intermediate level, to advanced level. Recently there is the possibility of carrying out university studies in distance learning mode.
