Thanks to ECO-JOBS, VET students in Spain, Italy and Greece had the opportunity to engage with local companies and experts, exploring sustainable technologies and innovative practices. In the 2 workshops organised in each country, participants explored the use of renewable energy, digital agricultural management, marine conservation and the role of energy communities.
In Spain, the focus was on energy communities and the use of drones to optimise crops.
In Italy, the focus was on innovative and sustainable agricultural techniques, such as permaculture, and digital platforms that support green productivity.
In Greece, the themes of marine conservation and renewable energy inspired students to imagine new career paths for environmental protection.
Student feedback proves the effectiveness of these activities: in Greece, over 88% appreciated the clarity of the introductory sessions, finding the information on green trends and green professions useful and relevant for the future. In Spain, the majority of students positively evaluated the in-depth study on sustainable technologies, emphasising the need for more digital training to address environmental challenges. In Italy, participants also recognised the importance of the information received, with almost all students ready to use this knowledge to plan their careers.
The ECO-JOBS project aims to bring together a generation of young people who are ready to turn their passion for the environment into solid, innovative careers for a sustainable, cutting-edge future.
