Project

The ECO-JOBS project is a European Union-funded project with a total duration of 32 months. Launched on December 1st, 2023 and running until July 31, 2026, its main objective is to bring students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways closer to the future labor market, one that is more aware of and ready for the ecological transition. While future jobs will require new skills, it will be equally crucial to prepare students for a changing labor market that is radically different from that of past generations. Although the green economy is set to be a driver of new jobs and innovative careers, it presents a great opportunity, but also a challenge. The “ECO-JOBS” project was created as a proactive response to this challenge, focusing on the need to develop the multidisciplinary skills crucial for the future, especially in the educational and training context.

The project provides training pathways that integrate the principles of the New European Bauhaus initiative, including both training teachers in green skills and introducing students to ten new job profiles that reflect the values and operating principles of this initiative. In this context, students will be able to apply acquired skills in a practical way, simulating the creation and management of sustainable enterprises in transnational teams.

ECO-JOBS is distinguished by its innovative methodology, combining business simulations based on ten new job profiles through the use of a virtual learning environment. In fact, students will have the opportunity to work in international teams, immersing themselves in the dynamics of the green economy and applying knowledge and skills in a collaborative digital context. This virtual space will foster the exchange of ideas and best practices, enhancing the educational effectiveness of the project.
